The coffee futures market started this Tuesday (14) with a strong appreciation for robusta and slight pressure on arabica in international exchanges. The movement reflects the combination of climatic factors in Brazil and the influence of currency exchange, demanding attention from the Brazilian producer in the face of a still uneven scenario between the external and internal market. At ICE Europe, robusta coffee contracts opened the day with consistent gains. The May/26 contract was quoted at US$ 3,433 per ton, with an appreciation of 820 points. July/26 traded at US$ 3,330 per ton, with a gain of 760 points, while September/26 was traded at US$ 3,265 per ton, advancing 720 points. The rise in robusta is mainly supported by the drier weather conditions in Brazil and the currency dynamics, with the appreciation of the real against the dollar influencing prices in the international market.
