Experts at the Russian Agricultural Bank (RSHB) forecast a 15% increase in berry picking in Russia by 2025, with the gross harvest expected to reach approximately 800 thousand tons due to ongoing investment in the sector. Personal subsidiary plots are the primary contributor to berry production, with strawberries being the most harvested. The strawberry market is projected to grow at an average rate of 5% annually over the next three years, alongside a reduction in imported products and a shift in sourcing between Turkey, Belarus, and Azerbaijan. In 2022, imports of berries to Russia decreased by 6%, with the volumes distributed mainly among Cherries, raspberries, and strawberries from countries like Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Moldova.
