Russia delivered the first shipments of peas to Venezuela

In 2022, after agreeing on phytosanitary requirements in the fall, the Russian Federation delivered the first two batches of peas with a total weight of 60,000 tons to Venezuela, the Rosselkhoznadzor said in a statement. "Two batches of peas weighing more than 60,000 tons were shipped to Venezuela," the message says. Venezuela's phytosanitary requirements for Russian peas were agreed in the fall.
The agency also reported that India has allowed the import of trial batches of lentils until June 30, 2024, based on the results of laboratory studies of which a decision will be made on the possibility of opening this market for supplies from the Russian Federation. They also recalled that in October the Russian Federation and China signed a protocol on phytosanitary requirements for peas exported to China: now 110 Russian enterprises are on the list of producers to which supplies are approved. The most significant and long-awaited event in 2022, the agency considers the signing on February 4 with the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China of agreements on protocols on wheat and barley, which allow the export of these crops from all regions of the Russian Federation.
