In the first seven months of the 2021-2022 campaign, Spain has seen a significant surge in the sales of Olive Pomace Oil, with a 42.5% increase amounting to 10.89 million liters sold. This growth is in line with that of virgin olive oil, which also experienced an 11.6% rise in sales. The revival in the domestic market, which began in 2021, is primarily driven by the HORECA channel, with the commercial distribution to households also showing positive trends. The surge in sales is attributed to a reduction in the importation of sunflower oil from Ukraine.
