Saliculture, collaboration begins between Confagricoltura and the management companies of the Italian sea salt pans for the valorization of the sector

Coordination is born between Italian agricultural and sea salt production entrepreneurs: Confagricoltura and the management companies of Italy's sea salt pans formalized today at Palazzo della Valle, in Rome, their collaboration dictated by the many points in common between the agricultural activity and the cultivation of sea salt. The objectives of the project are multiple, first of all to demonstrate that the cultivation of sea salt is also an agricultural activity, thus giving recognition to a sector that works to safeguard the territory, the environment and the ecosystem by producing a natural element of great nutritional value. It is worth highlighting that since 2019 France has included "saliculture" in national agricultural activities through the modification of the Rural and Maritime Fisheries Code.
