Breeding aimed at addressing climate challenges and meeting quality and high yield requirements – this is how the wheat varieties created at the Dobrudzha Agricultural Institute near General Toshevo can be generally described. "This year was one of the quite good ones both in terms of breeding and purely agronomic. In various regions of the country, our breeding performed at a high level with yields of the order of over 800-900 kg/da. From our varieties in demonstration platforms in Northern Bulgaria, we obtained 900-950 kg/da. This is not a 10 square plot, it is a mass sowing of many hectares," noted the breeder. In the fields, the varieties Indje, Shibil, Boil, Yulita, Chudomira, Andronia, as well as the new Radoslava, performed excellently, giving results of 900 to 1000 kg/da.
