Israeli breeders, specifically Breedx, have developed three varieties of seedless sweet pepper and are in the process of selecting additional varieties. These peppers, currently available in red and orange, are commercially grown in Spain, Mexico, Canada, South Africa, and Israel, and tests are ongoing in other markets. The pitted peppers are sold under the brand Pepperito and can be propagated through seed planting. In the next 2-3 years, Breedx plans to introduce peppers of other colors.
