According to statistics from the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP), the seafood export turnover for the first 11 months of 2025 reached 10.5 billion USD, an increase of 14.6% compared to the same period last year. This positive result comes from the simultaneous growth in key items and major consumer markets. Specifically, the shrimp industry recorded an export value of 385 million USD in November, an increase of nearly 12% compared to the same period. Accumulated over 11 months, shrimp exports reached over 4.3 billion USD, an increase of 21% and the highest level ever. The growth momentum mainly comes from white-leg shrimp and shrimp, with strong order recovery in many markets. VASEP forecasts that shrimp exports for the whole of 2025 may set a new record, reaching about 4.6 billion USD; the entire seafood industry is expected to reach 11.2 - 11.3 billion USD, an unprecedented high.
