Friday August 06, 2021.- Behind the fragility of its appearance due to its thin and quite flexible branches, the maqui tree surprises us with its multiple benefits for human health. Its fruit of intense color and rich in antioxidants is considered a superfood, which has generated a growing national and international demand, reflected in a growth in exports in the last decade, reaching 424 tons in 2017. For this reason, the project "Development of a technological package for the establishment and commercial production of maqui (Aristotelia chilensis) under sustainable management that mitigates the effects of climate change" was born, executed by Agrícola, Ganadera y Forestal Queñi SpA y Comercial GoodFood4U SpA (Nativ for Life) with the support of the Foundation for Agricultural Innovation (FIA).
