The Ministry of Agriculture in Indonesia has successfully exported 8 tons of fresh Chinese cabbage to Malaysia from Magelang, Central Java, for the first time. The export, valued at Rp. 73 million, departed from the Port of Tanjung Emas in Semarang and underwent strict quarantine measures to ensure the safety of the commodity. This marks a significant achievement in agricultural exports, with horticultural instruments certified by the Semarang agricultural quarantine seeing a 35% increase in exports from January to May 2020 compared to the previous year, totaling 3.1 thousand tons worth Rp. 135.5 billion despite the Covid-19 pandemic.
