Grain sorghum is being considered as a potential forage crop to replace corn, particularly in areas hit by drought. It is more resilient to changing climatic conditions and can be produced more effectively in low-quality production areas. The Ministry of Agriculture in Hungary has identified that sorghum could be grown on up to 100,000 hectares, replacing other crops and offering higher yields. The National Association of Grain Growers has endorsed sorghum as a viable alternative to corn due to its nutritional content, safety of cultivation, and marketability.
