The Spanish Farmers' Association (AVA-ASAJA) is expressing concern over the stable citrus prices in the market contrasted with a significant drop in field prices by up to 40% for various citrus varieties. The association is calling for an investigation by the federal government and regions along the supply chain to identify the entities profiting from the price discrepancy. Despite stable wholesale prices for oranges, the prices paid to producers have significantly decreased for all varieties, with some experiencing reductions of up to 35%.
