The South Korean government is taking steps to address the supply and demand instability of wild vegetables and other key outdoor vegetables such as Chinese cabbage, radish, garlic, onion, and dried red pepper. The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs has developed the '2022 Supply and Demand Management Plan for Major Outdoor Vegetables' to stabilize supply and manage prices effectively. The plan includes stockpiling large quantities of these vegetables, preparing spare seedlings, providing technical support and expanding storage and processing facilities. The government aims to control market prices, support farmers, and ensure a stable food supply despite potential weather-related disasters or other supply disruptions.
