The article highlights the launch of the National Beef Industry Development Strategic Plan (BIF PLAN) 2021-2025 and the National Dairy Industry Development Strategic Plan (DAIRY PLAN) by the Agriculture and Food Industries Minister, Datuk Seri Dr Ronald Kiandee. These strategic plans aim to enhance the ruminant industry through a more efficient farming system, increase production capacity, maintain optimal production costs, and strengthen management along the value chain. They are expected to help achieve the production targets set under the 12th Malaysia Plan and increase self-sufficiency levels in meat and milk by 2025. Additionally, a National Ruminant Council will be established to ensure the industry remains competitive and meets domestic demand, with plans to continue the development of dairy valleys and implement transformation programs for entrepreneurs and farmers.
