Miryang city in Gyeongnam, South Korea, has started exporting locally grown strawberries to Indonesia. The first shipment, containing 300 kg, was sent from the Food Integration Support Center in Miryang. The city plans to export over 10 tons of strawberries to Indonesia annually, with the Gyeongnam Agro-Fisheries Export Association and Miryang Trading, both partially owned by the city, handling the exports. Miryang is known for its long history of strawberry cultivation, which began in 1943.
