The Ukrainian sunflower market is experiencing a decrease in prices due to processors reducing the purchase price and farmers reducing sales, with sunflower prices falling by 200-500 UAH/t to 23,800-25,000 UAH/t. This is attributed to a drop in sunflower oil prices to $1,050-1,070/t for January delivery to Black Sea ports and an increase in offers of cheap sunflower oil from Russia, leading to pressure on Ukrainian oil prices. Additionally, the market is being impacted by the collapse in prices for palm and soybean oil. In Russia, sunflower prices have also fallen due to increased harvest forecasts and an increase in the export duty on sunflower oil. Palm oil prices are expected to rise in January due to Indonesia's decision to increase the crude palm oil export levy and introduce the E40 standard.
