The Regional Directorate of Agriculture of Tacna has begun the delivery of 400 tons of alfalfa hay that will benefit more than 1,200 ranchers and guarantee food for 110,000 South American camelids in the provinces of Tacna, Candarave, Tarata, and Jorge Basadre. The first delivery took place in the populated center of Kallapuma, in the province of Tarata, and was presided over by the regional governor of Tacna, Luis Torres Robledo. The event was attended by local authorities and communal representatives. The community member Policarpio Urure Sanga, mayor of the populated center Maure-Kallapuma, expressed his gratitude for the attention to the livestock area.
