With the start of the harvest of the first crop, the production of grains in the country for the 2025/26 season is estimated at 353.4 million tons, a 0.3% increase from the volume obtained in the 2024/25 cycle. The forecast maintains the prospect of a new record in the historical series of the National Supply Company. The planted area is expected to reach 83.3 million hectares, a 1.9% increase compared to the previous year, while the average productivity tends to decline by 1.5%, from 4,310 kilograms per hectare to 4,244 kilograms per hectare. The figures are from the 5th Survey of the Grain Crops for the current season, released this Thursday (12) by Conab. In the crop breakdown, Conab estimates a production of 178 million tons of soybeans, an increase of 6.5 million tons compared to the previous cycle and a new record for the oilseed.
