The agribusiness sector in the state of São Paulo recorded a surplus of US$ 16.81 billion in foreign trade between January and September 2025, according to data released by the Secretariat of Agriculture and Supply of the State of São Paulo. Exports totaled US$ 21.15 billion and imports amounted to US$ 4.34 billion during the period. The São Paulo Agency for Agribusiness Technology reported that the sector accounted for 40.3% of the state's total exports and 6.6% of imports in the same period. The sugar and ethanol complex maintained the leadership of the trade, with a participation of 29.9% and revenue of US$ 6.32 billion. Of this total, 92.1% corresponds to sugar and 7.9% to ethanol. The meat sector accounted for 14.9% of external sales, reaching US$ 3.15 billion, with 84.9% coming from beef. Forest products represented 10.5% of the trade, with US$ 2.21 billion, followed by juices, with a participation of 10.2% and revenue of US$ 2.15 billion — 97.7% of which is orange juice. ...
