Spain: The Board asks the State for aid for Andalusian boats that stop fishing in Moroccan waters

SEVILLE, June 19 (EUROPA PRESS) - The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development, Carmen Crespo, has asked the State for aid for Andalusian vessels that stop fishing in Moroccan waters during her participation in the Fisheries Sector Conference and in the Advisory Council for Fisheries Policy together with the Minister of the branch and his counterparts from other autonomous communities along the coast of Spain. Among other issues, he has referred to the termination of the Fisheries Agreement between the European Union (EU) and Morocco and has requested that "the State articulate aid to compensate for the difficulties that fishermen will have to face due to not having access to the Moroccan fishing grounds from on July 17", as the Board has collected in a statement.
