The council in Ukraine approved a ban on the use of palm oil in baby food

The Verkhovna Rada adopted as a basis the draft law "On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine on Improving the Quality of Food Consumed by Children". According to BusinessCensor, 304 people's deputies voted in the first reading for the adoption of the relevant bill № 5148. The bill proposes to introduce a ban on the use of palm oil and other hydrogenated vegetable fats in baby food, as well as to establish requirements for the labeling of foods containing palm oil.
