The owners of Rapanui, who became known for the famous phrase by Cristina Kirchner during a Senate session (what time does Rapanui close?) but most of all for the quality of their products (the most well-known being the Franui, exquisite raspberries covered in chocolate), will start harvesting their own fine fruits from a field acquired in Trevelin. Until now, they have been purchasing raspberries from producers in southern Argentina. The project to become producers, as reported by the site ANB (Patagonia News), began more than three years ago and only in 2024 did they find the optimal field in the mountain city of Trevelín. “It’s a perfect place for raspberries because the soil and climate conditions are ideal, which are not found in Bariloche because it is much colder,” explained businessman Aldo Fenoglio in an interview with that media outlet.
