[Korean Farmers' News Reporter Lee Woo-jung] On November 5, visiting Kimhwa-eup, Cheorwon County, the face of Yoo Hak-shin (43), who was working on the delayed radish harvest due to the autumn rainy season, was filled with worry and concern rather than the joy of harvest. This is because the price has plummeted due to the increase in the area of radish cultivation, the increase in imports, and the increase in stockpiles, leading to an unavoidable deficit. According to the Agricultural and Fisheries Products Distribution Information (KAMIS), as of November 5, the price of radishes at Garak Market was 13,149 won for special grade (20 kg) and 15,690 won for upper grade, down by approximately 37.9% and 44.9% respectively compared to the same period last year, which was 21,172 won for special grade and 19,208 won for upper grade.
