The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of Russia has initiated a case against Dymovsky Sausage Production. According to the press service of the agency, the company's actions may violate antitrust legislation. "The agency was approached by JSC 'Ostankino Meat Processing Plant'. The company reported that since 1993 it has been producing and selling sausage products under the brand 'Ostankino', including since 2001, the sausage 'Prazdnichnaya'. In the early 2000s, other companies also began using this designation for their sausage products. The products were produced in large volumes and were popular among a wide range of consumers," noted the FAS. In 2022, LLC "Dymovskoye Sausage Production" obtained the right to use the trademark "Prazdnichnaya". After this, the organization filed lawsuits for compensation for infringement of exclusive rights against individual entrepreneurs who sold sausages with the same name in 2019 and 2021.
