The article highlights the success of the Federal Agency for Fishery in integrating the fish industry in returned territories, such as Crimea and Sevastopol, leading to increased catch rates. In February 2023, the first fisherman from the Zaporozhye region was granted permission to sail under the Russian flag, with 12 contracts and 30 mining permits issued for the Sea of Azov. The agency is working on synchronizing fishing rules and regulations for the Azov-Black Sea fishery basin and developing aquaculture. So far, 152 agreements for the use of aquatic biological resources have been concluded, and plans are in place to re-flag approximately 24 vessels this year.
