Deriner Dam, which started energy production in Artvin in 2012 and made a great contribution to the country's economy, continues to contribute to the economy with Turkish salmon production. The first Turkish salmon harvest was carried out at Deriner Dam, which has the title of the second largest dam in Turkey in its field. Artvin Governor Turan Ergün, who attended the harvest, inspected the production facilities by boat. Stating that 8,300 tons of fish are produced annually in the 24 cage operations in the dam, Governor Ergün emphasized that Artvin has a high potential in aquaculture production.
