The government has established an additional quota for the export of grains The Russian government has established an additional tariff quota for the export of grain crops from Russia in 2026 beyond the Eurasian Economic Union, according to a government decree. According to the document, the additional tariff quota for the export of wheat, meslin, barley, and corn will be 5 million tons and will be in effect until June 30, 2026, inclusive. Its volume between foreign trade participants will be distributed by the Ministry of Agriculture in an application-based manner. It is noted that the measure is aimed at supporting agricultural producers who will be able to make additional supplies of their products abroad. The decision was made taking into account the adjustment by Rosstat of the gross harvest of grain crops in 2025 towards an increase (to 141.2 million tons) and sufficient supply of such products to the domestic market.
