The height of the watermelon season: 38,000 tons have already been collected in Ukraine

Harvesting of melon crops continues in Ukraine. As of mid-August, farmers harvested 50,400 tons, of which 38,000 tons of watermelons and 12,400 tons of melons. This is 20.7% of the forecasted harvest. This was reported to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy. Currently, the area from which melon crops have already been harvested is 6.2 thousand hectares. The average yield per hectare is 81.5 tons. The largest production and the highest yield of melons as of August is in Vinnytsia. 12.6 thousand tons with a yield of 140 t/ha have already been harvested in the region. ...
