The President of the IRWŁ, Bronisław Węglewski, wrote to the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development to correct inaccuracies around the safety of Ukrainian corn. The chamber provided test results showing excess mycotoxin levels in grain imports from Ukraine, exceeding set standards. They are calling for re-examination of the grain by certified labs and questioning the safety guarantees provided by the Deputy Prime Minister. The chamber also highlighted that the quality of grain imports is influencing the price paid by importers, with lower prices associated with faulty test results. This is the latest in a series of interventions by the agricultural self-government of Łódź, aiming to ensure the safety of grain imports.
