The ministry hopes that Brexit will not disturb Polish agri-food exports

We hope that despite Brexit, high exports of Polish agri-food products to Great Britain will continue - says Ryszard Bartosik, Deputy Minister of Agriculture. The politician reminded that the transition period related to Brexit will end at the end of 2020. From 2021, trade relations with the United Kingdom will be that of the EU with non-EU countries. This means, for example, the introduction of customs and other border controls, including those relating to the safety and quality requirements of agri-food products. Bartosik emphasized that Great Britain is a significant trade partner for Poland, especially when it comes to agri-food products. He noted that from January to August, goods worth 1.9 billion euros were exported from Poland to the Islands. - Despite the pandemic, it was an increase of 6 percent. (compared to last year - PAP).
