Ukrainian farmers are reviving the tradition of growing exotic crops such as truffles and pineapples, lost for a century. Mykhailo Kozma from Chernivtsi region has successfully grown white and black truffles. The cultivation of truffles requires a significant waiting period before harvest, but the crop can be harvested for up to 20 years from a single sowing. The mushrooms are sown between trees and draw nutrients from them. White truffles, considered more valuable, can sell for up to 400 euros per 100 grams.
