The Pazarlar cherry from Kütahya province in Turkey has received geographical indication approval from the Turkish Patent Institute, increasing the number of products from the region with this protection to 10. Other products including Simav carpet, Tavşanlı roasted chickpea, Kütahya tiles, Şaphane sour cherry, cimcik vaccine, louse halva, foam halva, pasha halvah and cranberry tarhana have also been registered with the institute.
