The Kakhovskaya HPP in Ukraine has been destroyed, leading to the flooding of the only state sturgeon farm in the country. This poses a threat to sturgeon fish populations and could result in the extinction of these species in Ukraine's reservoirs. The Dnipro sturgeon breeding plant, which has been in operation since 1984, has been severely damaged. The destruction of the plant is expected to have significant negative impacts on Ukraine's ecological state and the Black Sea basin. Additionally, the destruction of the HPP is expected to cause losses to the fishing industry and damage to all biological resources, totaling UAH 10.5 billion.
