The Rural Development Administration releases a statistical yearbook on the 70-year history and current status of agricultural infrastructure.

(Naju=Yonhap News) Reporter Jang A-reum = The Korea Rural Community Corporation announced on the 5th that it has published the "2024 Agricultural Production Infrastructure Statistics Yearbook," which provides an overview of the current state of agricultural infrastructure in the country. The Agricultural Production Infrastructure Statistics Yearbook is a nationally approved statistic that has been published since 1995, marking its 70th edition this year. The yearbook records the status of agricultural water facilities such as reservoirs, pumping stations, and drainage and irrigation channels, as well as the performance of maintenance projects. The data serves as a key foundational resource for the efficient maintenance and management of infrastructure and for the formulation of agricultural policies. The Corporation conducted a survey of agricultural production infrastructure managed by 97 branches and divisions, and 180 cities, counties, and districts across the country, and compiled the statistics by linking them with the farmland area data released by the Korea Data Agency (formerly the Statistics Korea). The survey results are produced in booklet form and distributed to various agencies, and can also be accessed by anyone through the National Statistical Portal (KOSIS) and the Rural Water Resources Comprehensive Information System (rawris.ekr.or.kr). areum@yna.co.kr
