This report details that extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) represents 80% of the stock (243,411 tons, +58.7%), of which 153,763 tons (+90.1%) are of Italian origin, while 67,478 tons (+16.6%) come from the EU. Approximately half of the national olive oil (55.6%) is stored in the southern regions of Italy, with the significant contribution of the Puglia and Calabria regions, with 36.1% and 11.8%, respectively. At the regional level, according to the report, Puglia stands out (109,996 t.), Tuscany (47,565 t.), Calabria (36,023 t.), Umbria (28,617 t.), Sicily (21,385 t.), Liguria (15,363 t.) and Campania (13,605 t.).
