On April 1, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China Zhang Chili co-chaired with First Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction of Uzbekistan Jurayev the third meeting of the China-Uzbekistan Intergovernmental Cooperation Committee on Poverty Reduction Cooperation Sub-Committee in Beijing. Both sides had in-depth exchanges on issues such as the implementation of poverty reduction pilot projects, strengthening of institutional exchanges, and making good use of the poverty reduction cooperation platform. Zhang Chili stated that since the establishment of the China-Uzbekistan Poverty Reduction Cooperation Sub-Committee, both sides have maintained good interaction, exchanged in-depth poverty reduction concepts, shared poverty reduction practical experiences, and jointly implemented a number of poverty reduction cooperation projects, creating a good situation of jointly promoting poverty reduction and common development. China is willing to plan and implement more practical cooperative measures with Uzbekistan, support Uzbekistan in better advancing its poverty reduction work, and push China-Uzbekistan poverty reduction cooperation to greater depths. Jurayev expressed that Uzbekistan highly commends China's achievements in poverty reduction, and hopes to further absorb and learn from China's poverty reduction practical experiences, especially the successful practices of poverty reduction driven by the agricultural industry, and to deepen exchanges and cooperation with China in poverty reduction capacity building, demonstration project implementation, and professional institutional dialogue. After the meeting, Zhang Chili and Jurayev jointly signed the "Minutes of the Third Meeting of the China-Uzbekistan Intergovernmental Cooperation Committee on Poverty Reduction Cooperation Sub-Committee".
