The threat of the development of rodent-like animals in the fields persists under stable weather conditions.

In the Kharkiv region, rodent-like rodents were found on all surveyed areas of winter wheat and sunflower stubble fields at a rate of 1.0-2 colonies per hectare over the week. They were also found on uncultivated lands on all surveyed areas at a rate of 1.3-3 colonies per hectare. This is reported by the State Consumer Service regarding the phytosanitary condition of agricultural crops. Currently, the factors restraining the development of rodent-like rodents are periodic thaws, ice and freezing of melted water in the fields and burrows. Their further development will largely be determined by weather conditions, in particular, stable air temperature, a long period without snow cover or the presence of stable snow cover will contribute to the life activity of rodents.
