Since March 2026, domestic blueberry prices in China have almost halved compared to the period around the Chinese New Year. In many supermarkets, prices for half a jin (approximately 250 grams) have dropped from nearly 30 yuan (RMB, hereinafter the same) to 19.9 yuan; in wholesale markets, prices for a box have decreased from 150 yuan to around 80 yuan. In Yunnan, the price of high-quality blueberries at the source has fallen to 30 yuan per kilogram, a decrease of about 50% year-on-year. The phrase "blueberry prices plummet" has consecutively topped the trending searches online, drawing attention.
