This is 900 thousand tons more than last season. In February, the forecast was 3.85 million tons. Experts cited "higher export rates" as the reason for the increase in the assessment in March. Export of sunflower meal is forecasted at 2.2 million tons (2.025 million tons last season), sunflower - 850 thousand tons (235 thousand tons). The service estimated the carry-over stocks of sunflower in the Russian Federation at 588 thousand tons against 958 thousand tons a season earlier, sunflower oil - at 289 thousand tons against 427 thousand tons. According to the March forecast of the service, the export of soybean oil from Russia this season will amount to 650 thousand tons against 575 thousand tons, which were predicted in February.
