Weather conditions at the end of December were uncharacteristic for the corresponding winter period. An increase in temperature was noted, due to which the winter peace of winter crops was disturbed in some places, the State Production and Consumer Service reports. In particular, agroclimatic conditions (fluctuations in air temperature, precipitation that fell in the form of snow and rain, melting of the snow cover, in some places the formation of an ice crust, flooding of holes and passages with water) negatively affected the development and spread of mouse-like rodents in the fields of winter cereals, rapeseed, and perennial grasses and other lands. Surveys conducted on winter wheat and rapeseed fields revealed that the density of rodents did not exceed the economic threshold of harm.
