The Samsun Forest Nursery Directorate in Turkey is producing seedlings of the expensive truffle mushroom since 2020. The directorate produces around 5,000 seedlings annually and plants them in various forest areas. The truffle mushroom, known for its high nutritional value and used in the food sector, is one of the world's most expensive mushrooms. The production process involves preparing the soil with pumice, peat, humus, insects, fungi, and disinfectant. The soil is then mixed with oak seeds and kept in vials in a greenhouse. The seedlings are then dipped in a slurry and planted in tubes for five months before being sent to different provinces and nature areas.
