The rice area in Paraguay increased by 15,000 hectares in this campaign

Reinerio Franco mentioned the Sunday agroclassic broadcast by Canal PRO that according to data from the Confederation of Mercosur Rice Mills (Conmasur), in this campaign 175,000 hectares were planted in Paraguay, which represents a growth of 15,000 hectares (9 .4 %), compared to the previous harvest (160,000 hectares). He explained that the planting of the 2022/2023 rice campaign had widespread delays due to weather conditions (initial late cool, then drought) that altered the growth of rice, which ended up concentrating the harvest period, since materials planted in different windows matured at the same time.
