They started sowing corn in Belarus

The spring sowing campaign continues in Belarus. Agricultural producers in the Brest, Minsk and Grodno regions began to sow corn. The crops of the “queen of fields” so far occupy only 3.3 thousand hectares - this is 0.3% of the plan. Spring crops are located on an area of 546.5 thousand hectares - this is 23.6% of the planned amount, reports the Ministry of Agriculture and Food. Early spring grain and leguminous crops (without corn, buckwheat, millet) were sown on an area of more than 435 thousand hectares - this amounts to 73% of the plan. The time has come for spring rapeseed: the area planted has already reached 2.96 thousand hectares - 7.16% of the planned volumes have been completed.
