The article highlights the implementation of Chile's Animal Traceability Program in the Los Lagos region, particularly focusing on peasant family farming. The program, aimed at improving understanding of livestock regulations and enhancing compliance, includes the Declaration of Animal Existence (DEA). By the end of November, farmers are expected to declare their animal counts. The region, with a significant cattle population, leads Chile in this aspect. The DEA is an annual requirement for certain procedures like obtaining the Animal Movement Form and maintaining the PABCO program. The program has seen notable improvements, including the use of the mobile SIPEC application for issuing the Animal Movement Form. This application allows producers to obtain the form online, simplifying the process.
