According to the livestock outlook by the Korea Rural Economic Institute, this month's cattle and dairy cow breeding stock is expected to decrease compared to the same period last year, while the breeding stock for laying hens and ducks is projected to increase. This month's cattle breeding stock is forecast to drop 3.8% year-on-year to 3,349,000 head. Breeding stock for cattle under one year old is expected to remain similar to last year at 886,000 head, while breeding stock for fertile cows is projected to decrease 3.4% to 1,582,000 head. The current downward trend in cattle breeding stock is anticipated to continue until next year. The breeding stock in September is expected to decrease 3.6% compared to the same period last year.
