In Atakum district of Samsun, the municipality provided support to farmers by distributing 100,000 vegetable seedlings. In collaboration with the Atakum City Council, the efforts to promote agricultural production in the city and provide economic support to farmers have been initiated. Under the leadership of Atakum Mayor Serhat Türkel, the project prepared by the municipality involves distributing seedlings of summer vegetables such as tomatoes, peppers, and eggplants to families in the rural neighborhoods of the city. The seedlings, which will provide relief to the farmers, first met with families living in Karaoyumca Neighborhood.
