The National Food Security Agency of Togo has initiated a month-long campaign to sell cereals at low prices across the nation. The campaign, which began on March 20, is aimed at making cereals readily available to the population. The agency will sell corn, rice, beans, and sorghum in bags of 50kg and 20kg. The cereals are purchased from farmers during harvest. The Togolese government plans to allocate CFA13 billion to food security this year, which is 25% of the annual budget for the ministry of agriculture.
