The European Commission's tomato dashboard has reported record-breaking prices for tomatoes in October, surpassing the five-year average and previous peak prices. The Netherlands experienced the highest price increase compared to the past five years. However, the average price per kilo in both the Netherlands and Spain is below the average price in the whole of Europe. Prices in Belgium fell below the five-year average for a brief period in November. The amount of lit up cultivation in Northwest Europe has decreased significantly compared to normal, while productions in Spain are higher and Morocco's production is also on the rise. It remains to be seen what the prices will be at the end of November.
