Brazil: Tomato prices show a significant drop in the wholesale market

Wholesale tomato prices in São Paulo fell sharply last week, according to data from Cepea's Fruit and Vegetable team. A box of 3A salad tomatoes was sold for an average of R$62, representing a 21.7% decrease compared to the previous week. In Belo Horizonte, the reduction was even more pronounced, reaching 31.5%, with the average price falling to R$45 per box.
