TommyTomato will deliver healthy hot lunch meals to schools again after the May holidays. The company reports that it is making a fresh start in a streamlined form. The distribution center in Eindhoven will be closed, but those in The Hague, Haarlem, and Utrecht can continue to operate. Schools and parents will receive an email with more information this week. The fresh start is possible thanks to an investment from the Impact First Group. This Rotterdam-based investment fund invests in local social projects. The fund is looking for other parties or investors who can support the continued existence of TommyTomato. Just over two weeks ago, TommyTomato was declared bankrupt by the court in Haarlem. The provider of hot school lunches, founded in 2020, had come into acute financial distress when a major shareholder abruptly canceled funding.
